How does Superman have the cheek to call batman a vigilante when he does the exact same thing but with all his superpowers?Why isn't superman classed as a vigilante while Batman is?Superman doesn't really do the same things Batman does.
Batman knows the law can't reach far and is limited, so he must punish the thugs and thieves that the police are in charge of. He goes out looking for thugs to beat up. (Batman does fight some supervillains, but on most mights it's drug dealers and thieves)
Superman only uses his powers when he has to. He doesn't go out looking for trouble. He doesn't concentrate on thugs, thieves, or drug rings, but super villains. He lets the police take care of regular law-breakers.Why isn't superman classed as a vigilante while Batman is?She's right but also Superman isnt hiding behind a mask. He went public and told the entire world about his origin and where he comes from. They cant put him in jail because the public love him and politicians feed off of that

Why isn't superman classed as a vigilante while Batman is?Another way to think about it is that Superman is government sanctioned.Why isn't superman classed as a vigilante while Batman is?Well, I don't think that was an accurate representation of Batman and Superman's relationship in the comics they are best friends. But in this media maybe it is because Superman stands for, Truth, Justice and the American way. And Batman is a dark and scary figure who uses more brutal tactics. Also Superman is a media friendly character with a 'boyscout' smile. Batman is not well known by police officers other than Commissioner Gordan.
