Superman will be a general Superman story with no specific links to any past project --- from what I've read the ONLY things it'll have in common with any past Superman projects will be those things that are/were Comic Book Canon ie Smallville is in KS which the 78 film established, The Kents are young(er)-- Costner and Lane are 57/46 respectivelycompared to past versions having them on Social security when they find him-- as established in Smallville

Superman reboot will be Henry Cavill (the Tudors) to be Superman/Clark Kent and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Zod is rumored to be in the movie to be played by Viggo Mortensen (best known as Aragorn in Lord of the Rings). I think it should be BrainIAC instead of Zod. I'd love to see The Brain InterActive Construct on the big screen!
