I just get confused because God created *us* in his image but if he created, like, the Super Friends in his image too... I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around exactly what kind of image this God has. I mean, there is a big, big difference between me and the Green Lantern.
Your thoughtful answers on this matter are greatly appreciated.Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman?Superheros like Batman, Superman, and the Incredible Hulk are the product from the creativity / imagination of people like Bob Kane, William "Bill" Finger, Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, Stan Lee Jack Kirby and others. For some of the superheroes the comic book writers / artists were inspired partially in God or biblical characters.
Now, regarding us created in the image of God, your confusion rests in thinking it in a physical level. Being created in the image of God has nothing to do with physical features like color of eyes, muscle strenght, athletic capabilities, etc. Being created in the image of God has more to do with being capable of love and have feelings, being sentinent, having moral conscience, etc.Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman?
there is very little difference between you and green lantern or batman, theyre just regular men. Now superman on the other hand is an alien, and wonder woman is made out of clay, so it gets trickier. Captain Marvel may just be a little boy with magic powers, but dammit galactus is an alien from the previous universe, wtf... who is this god, and why is he trying to lend credibility to my comic book characters?
I hereby vow to start a society to keep god out of my super hero books starting NOW...Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman? They all have weaknesses.
Superman has kryptonite,
Green Lantern has the color yellow,
Batman has um, Robin.
Funny thing about the Hulk though.
He was partly based on Frankenstein,
part Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
and partly on the golem from Jewish folklore..

Hmm..
The Bible clearly states that EVERYTHING that God ever CREATED, was created in these passages.

There is not ONE SINGE reference ANYWHERE in the Bible that God EVER created anything else after this.
If what you "say" God "created", is not in this passage, then prove He DID create it!Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman?Superman's an alien which throws the original philosophical thinking behind our religions a good deal off...
Batman is the creation of the will's' of men, of others and his own, He created the man Bruce Wayne, and Batman is the product of the world he lives in (created by man)Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman?
Just Superman,God runs -oops-ran-Krypton,too.All those other "super" heroes are fakes.
btw-when do we take "head"?lol.

Edit:Some of these people really need to grow a sense of humor.A very good question.
He did inspire Bob Kane, Joseph Shuster, Stan Lee, and others who brought before us archtypes that could be imitated for the lessons they teach - as well as being delightfully entertaining for nearly a century.
May the Peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep our hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of our Savior Jesus Christ, and may the blessing of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit rest upon us and those we love this night and forevermore.Did the God of the Bible also create all the superheros like Batman and Superman?
well considering that those are fictional characters than i would say that man made them in the image that they wish to be. God created man. man created super heroes.
Man created God. I believe it was Stan Lee who created the Hulk.
No. But he gave man the wonderful, godlike gift of imagination.
Yes
