The philosophy of Superman is money. Simple as that.
"metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic, aesthetics, social and political aspects" of money can fill a library.
I wish you luck in your search, my friend! What is the philosophy behind the story of Superman?Nietzsche's concept of the "脺bermensch" is originally the source of inspiration for superman. Or some other superhero called "Hugo Danner" in a comic called "Gladiator". Whatever...What is the philosophy behind the story of Superman?
Is this the comic book hero or Nietzsche superman?
If its the comic. Umberto Eco wrote an interesting essay on him. From memory (which unreliable) one of things talks about is that he is the most powerless man on the planet.
He has the power to kill anyone he wants, he could take anything he wants, defeat the planet's militaries, he could in effect take over the world. But he doesn't? Why because he is bound by a strict morality that limits (or depending on your perspective, guides him). He couldn't even park in a disabled spot. He always has to play by the rules.
So could you say its a story of ultimate power bound by morality, and what is morality? Some might say a set of artifical values or priniciples that are perpetuated by the powerful in our society.
So is it a story of how society limits, us controls us ?
the story of superman is similar to the story of neo from the matrix. A philosophy of toughness of the body and mind.
