This was an entirely different Superman from the one that the world of today knows %26amp; loves. That same year Jerry Siegel rewrote the character as a hero. This new Superman had little resemblance to the previous version. This new Superman, the one that the world of today loves, first appeared in Action Comics #1, on June 30, 1938.
