Please help!Why exactly did superman want to renounce his US citizenship?The deciding factor was because he went to Iran to support the protests. The Iranian government took this as an act of war, because Superman is a representative of America.



Superman does not want the country to be blamed for his personal decisions and being a citizen of the globe, as opposed to one country, means that no-one else can be held accountable for his actions other than him.



The underlying reason is because Superman no longer believes that 'the American Way' is enough. He has the powers to defend the world not just Metropolis and not just America so he should be out there righting wrongs in other countries.Why exactly did superman want to renounce his US citizenship?
