In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?

on there planet? because i was watching superman the animated show last night and on the last sons of krypton part 1

when jor-el was escaping from braniac he didnt have any powers and no one else on kryton did either they were all running like humans and jor-el couldn't fly so is it only our sun that give krytoniens power? or what?In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans? In the golden age of comics (aka back in the 30s or so), they did. I'm not sure if this had since been retconned (meaning that the people working on the comics changed their minds and decided that they didn't).

However, I know that in the animated series, the reason that no one on Krypton had powers is because they had a red sun. Under this red sun, they were normal like humans. However, when a Krypton is under a yellow sun (like we have on earth) the sun is what gives the Kryptonian special powers. In one of the later episodes, the collector uses a red lamp to contain Superman and "deny" him his powers (a red lamp is used on him again in the end of the series, but I won't spoil that for you in case you haven't seen it.In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?
they all had powers. In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?Krypton is a much larger planet with higher gravity, so Kryptonians on their homeworld are much like humans on Earth.

It's usually explained that Earth's yellow sun is a major factor in Superman's powers.
Supposedly they all have powers when on earth. In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?from what I remember from the comic book they did have powers but only when they were away from Krypton. When they were in their planet they didn't because of the force field. In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?
On Krypton they don't have any special powers because of the red sun of Krypton. On Earth though all Kryptons would have special powers, fueled by the yellow earth sun.
Our Yellow sun gave Superman his powers. On Krypton, everyone is normal but exposed to our sun they become stronger. In the original superman comic do the people on krypton have any powers like clark pr are the just like humans?
they didnt have powers

superman was affected by the sun when he came to earth.
When on planet Krypton, even Superman doesn't have powers. The powers he has all derive from the fact that we have a yellow sun, not a red sun like Krypton had.
Kryptons red sun made Kryptonians human-like. When superman came to Earth, Jor-El knew that the Earth's yellow sun would be the source of Superman's power. All Kryptonians would be superhuman on Earth due to this factor.
Back in 1938 when Superman debuted in Action Comics #1, Jerry Siegel wrote that Krypton was inhabited by a race of supermen. Joe Shuster drew one panel showing native Kryptonians leaping over rooftops.

Through the years, as the Man's origin story got tweaked more and more, the editors at DC kind of got away from that particular established facet of the story and made it so that it was Earth's lighter gravity and yellow star that gave Clark his powers. No other native of his home planet had super powers, unless exposed to Earth's atmosphere. It would seem a moot point until the Phantom Zone villains were introduced, then Kandor, then Krypto, then Beppo. It got pretty ridiculous after a while. Superman works best when it's established that he is the SOLE survivor of the doomed planet Krypton.
