Is there a new Superman movie coming out?

I heard a while back that they were going to make one, but I haven't heard anything since. Do you know anything?Is there a new Superman movie coming out?Last I heard the final nail in the coffin, officially shelving any Superman film was in August when a court returned some of the Royalty Rights to the Family of one of the Creators



before that there were 3 potential Superman projects



1. a complete reset, ignoring Returns and the 80's franchise, keeping only 'stock' Superman features ie. Lois, Krypton, Kansas, Metropolis, etc,



2. a JLA film, again with no ties to any other film, possibly as a launch for solo films for the Featured heroes (the reverse of Marvel's 'Avengers. project)



3. a Superman/Batman aka Worlds Finest film, possibly still involving Christian Bale, and connecting to the Batman Begins/Dark Knight franchise (this was a hold over of a pre-Returns theory in which Bale and Routh would have their respective Trilogy, and follow them up with a Team-up film)



word is WB is upset at having lost the court battle, and doesn't wish to pay the percentage granted in the settlement, and from what i understand, this is also why the Superman title in the comics is focusing on a guy named Mon-El, if WB/DC can't get the family to accept a smaller amount they may discontinue use of the Superman name and iconography (this includes Lois, Lex, Clark Kent, Smallville and the \S/ shield



as it stands, the closest we will see to a Superman Movie in the near future is a two part / 2 hr episode of Smallville, that deals with the 'Justice Society' and has Clark meeting Hawkman, Dr. Fate, StarGirl and i think another hero



As I understand it, the series is protected from the above limitations because CW renewed it for a 9th and 10th {optional} season before the settlement was reached, also w/ the film on the shelf, WB could allow full use of the iconic suit and name in the show, if they wishedIs there a new Superman movie coming out?
I've only heard of 3 so far, at first they were going to reboot Superman Returns, then apparently they were going to make a DC one with Batman and other DC heroes, then there was the George Miller one. But I'm pretty sure they're all shelved/cancelled. The one with the best chance of going forward would probably be the reboot, but I don't even know if they're discussing it. Even if they are it would still take several years to get it up and moving.Is there a new Superman movie coming out?i also heard about a year (or 2) ago that they're gonna reboot a new one, coz the last one seems lame, but there's no assurance yet, as it seems its still a rumor...Is there a new Superman movie coming out?
