I was reading on a website that Superman is Methodist and it gave a bunch of other heroes and their religion, but does he ever accredit or thank God for his life or victories?Does Superman accredit his victories to God?I have never seen him spike the villain into jail, do an end-zone victory dance and proclaim "I thank God for allowing me to beat the snot out of criminals."
It might raise his street cred, thoughDoes Superman accredit his victories to God?No, how ever in one cartoon I once saw, he says God Help Us All when he was fighting the Greek God of Death Hades, who was released from Hell. Note they only got away with it cause they always had Wonder Women saying Hera help us all in most of the other episodes.
cause superman sucks when it comes to fighting the Supernatural. but that and my Supergirl comic where he trys to show Supergirl the True meaning of christmas, and Supergirl mess with him about Christmas being more of a marketing holiday than a religous holiday about some guy who wasn't even born in winter.
those are the only things I have see so far where he mention's God, but i haven't see him pray at all.Does Superman accredit his victories to God?typically Superman stays out of Church and theological debates in most media with the occasional mention here or there of a god, in the general creator deity sense, with no definitive of who's god or which god he is invoking, (though Christians have the big 'G' God, and other faiths apply a name, like Allah for Muslims, and YHWH for Jewish people, so simply saying God, no matter the size of the 'G' implies some Christian leanings)
I do recall a comic book at a grocery store like 4-5 yrs back in which Superman is shown talking to a Priest (I want to say Catholic, because of the collar, but its been a while) in which the Priest has a crisis of faith, and Superman talks about his personal faith in Humanity, and that while the Priest had his Trinity of "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" Superman has his own trinity in the three words he hears the most, "Superman, save me!",
on other occasions the comics have invoked a Kryptonian Deity of Rao, but from what I've seen he usually exclaims something to teh effect of "Great Rao", in situations where people might say "Jesus Christ", not so much as a religious sentiment, but as an utterance of shock or awe
