What does anyone think of Henry Cavill playing the new superman?

he just doesnt look like a clark to me what do you think?What does anyone think of Henry Cavill playing the new superman?ok, from what i've heard about the superman reboot, is that we are dealing with a younger representation.



and the photo i saw when yahoo reported on the casting, the guy kinda looked like tom welling.



i think all doubts and conjecture will be either confirmed or laid to rest once we see some shots of the guy in the suit, or the glases.What does anyone think of Henry Cavill playing the new superman?having seen his work in Tudors and the Count of Monte Cristo I think he can pull it off



as 'eagle' said, I don't think we can judge until we see him in costume (both of them)



rewatch the original 78 film and then look at some of Reeve's publicity shots or some of the behind the scenes/making of footage from the film CR in real life honestly looks little like either of the onscreen versions we see in the film... a great example is in Smallville when they introduce CR as Virgil Swan they use a Time Magazine with a Young CR pic, and cite it as being about 'young Virgil' (obviously it was a prop made for the show) but the Picture used was circa 78



-- and there is an SNL episode from that era in which CR was either a guest host or popped in for a cameo (i forget which, as I only saw scene in question as part of a clip show) and it shows him and another guy auditioning for Superman and both having real powers (done surprisingly well for live 70's TV) -where he only got the role because the other guy was busy during the filming schedule
