System hang during gameplay?

This is my first message to Nvidia forums. I have following sysytem specification.



CPU AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+.(NEW)

RAM Kington 2Gb.(NEW)

Mainboard K9AGM2-L 690V Chipset.(NEW)

Hardisk 80GB SATA.(USED)

Sound CARD REALTEK HD.(ONBOARD)

VGA XFX 8500gt 512 mb fatality version.(NEW)

Power supply 300 watts(ON CASING)

I am facing the following A problem in following games.

1 warrhammer 40000 all version. (full settings)

2 NFS prostreet.(full settings)

3 company of heroes.(full settings)



The system just freezez without restarting or any blue death screen during playing these games after 15 minutes. I have to reset the power by pressing reset button. :'(

I have asked several people about this problem., but there was no satisfactory result from their replys.

But it run well in playing following games.

1 Battlefield 2142 (full setting)

2 COD 49 (Full setting)

3 Crysis (medium setting)

4 kABUS 22 (FULL SETTINGS)

5 WARCRAFT 3 all version (full settings)

6 Counter strike (Full settings)



This is not understandable.

Pleas help what could be the problem.System hang during gameplay?
Possibly you require a bigger power supply? If your graphic card does not have sufficient power then your system could become unstable and cause the freeze behavior you experience. They aren't expensive to buy and are easy to install. Check with someone at XFX Support.



Not all power supplies are the same though and the AMP output is more important that the WATTS so that might be why your having problems if your power supply is deficient in this area.



I have the XFX 8600GT Fatal1ty and I was initially worried my off the shelf Hewlett Packard would not be able to power it. In practice I have had no problems, the card runs cool and more importantly for me silently. I have attempted to swap in a couple of different higher rated power supplies but my motherboard didnt like them. However, I have never had a problem with my standard power supply.System hang during gameplay?
Probably due to heat, my friends laptop had the same problem, would start lagging. Make sure all programs you dont use in the taskbar are closed.System hang during gameplay?
If this is happening during the play of one single game, then it may be a glitch in the game, a glitch during the install of the game (re-install), or a bad CD. The specs you listed look pretty good, it should handle the game graphics.

try to reinstall the game with a good cd

im suspecting the cd



is there any software missing which supports that game

please check it once
